Part 3 of “A Place of Fire Series”

Recorded live at Our Father’s House in Pineville, Kentucky. The message entitled, “From The Midst of The Fire” is the third installment to the A Place of Fire messages. Special thanks to Pastor Justin Helton and the congregation of Our Father’s House for their grace and thirst for God’s presence.

A Culture of Freedom

What is “freedom” to the one who’s been born in slavery? Often times the only vision of freedom that type of slave has is defined by the capture or slave master. We’ve all been born slaves to sin and what we imagine as freedom is shaped by our lives as slaves. Before Christ entered our lives we’ve never understood, longed for, or pursued the promises of freedom He provides.

We claim freedom from Mosaic laws that we’ve never lived under because we still don’t know what we have in Christ. We contradict the very words of Christ when we dismiss our propensity to sin as norms because we don’t know what Freedom is. The Christian movement has divided itself into hundreds of denominations to accommodate itself in its inability to say, “WE DON”T FULLY UNDERSTAND IT!”
